(Sorry Wendi! I just had to steal that title! It provides the most accurate picture of what our hearts are doing at the moment!)
So, I thought I would do a short post before traveling off to bed. We have already begun to receive many 'What next?' & 'Are we there yet?' questions, so I thought it might be helpful to put things into perspective for family and friends (a good reminder for ourselves as well).
While we could obsess over mathematical calculations based on the numbers we have been given...and we do need to remind ourselves that the projected timeline has already changed a couple times with time, holidays, and other delays, such as paperwork updates, etc...both lengthening and shortening (weird, right?)...ok, I just realized how fragmented the last sentence or two was!
I think the best answer we have received from Julie when we submitted our dossier was "think summer"...of course, we have received some 'guestimates' on what that
actual timeline would be, from sending dossier to referral, that is. If we bank on those timelines being accurate, then we should hear of a referral in the next 1-3 months, although I prefer to set my sites on having a son or daughter home by summer. That seems reasonable and more accurate to set our hearts on. In the meantime, we will stand completely surprised and amazed should our referral and meeting as a family come sooner! =)
And, to the 'What next?' question...we will now be awaiting a regional assignment. We have not received a specified time for this to happen...only that Julie will let us know as soon as she hears something. Again, we are reminded of God's work and how it occurs outside of our chronological time. We look forward to what lies ahead with His guidance and provision!~S.

Congratulations on your approval. We are so excited for you. You have your baby home before you know it. Thanks for the update. It is so wonderful to hear about other families going through the same thing.
