Well...

...we headed out to the passport office around 2:30 today, and at 3:30ish we were told that the application would need to be corrected as there was a mispelling of Jonatan's name...actually, in one portion of the paperwork Jonatan's middle name was omitted...which, ironically, was the part that was used to issue his birth certificate! Oops! Soooo, Hector was going to try and get the paperwork corrected at the judicial building today so that we could retry for the birth certificate this evening...although it turns out that they would not be able to get the paperwork completed today. Tomorrow morning the paperwork will be corrected, we will get another birth certificate reissued, and then tomorrow afternoon we will attempt the passport again.

We are not stressing as we still stand to get to Bogota over the weekend. This would be nice as we were hoping for an opportunity to catch up with other CHI folks who are still in the area...meet their children, etc. We will just have to see about this one.

As for timeline, we would still stand to be home sometime between Thursday and Saturday now.

Well, we can't expect everything to go perfectly. I'm surprised the courts are going to correct it so quickly. At home the same problem could take weeks to rectify. Hope you have a great time with the other CHI folks.

It still sounds like things are going well, like mom said be thankful your not in the states you could be there a life time, or what would be much longer. I hope you get everything square and have a safe travel!
