This morning went well as Jonatan's paperwork was corrected. The birth certificate turned out to be fine although our paperwork still needed to be re-presented to that office to document the change in the original application. There was some confusion surrounding this yesterday, and neither Dave or I had actually seen the birth certificate and name.
Around 1:50 Colombia time...EST 2:50...we will join Mauricio for a, hopefully, final trip to the passport office. We will update everyone with details as soon as we get back and have news of what is next.
Tonight we are joining Jose and his family for an evening out to dinner. This should be a lot of fun and great opportunity to get to know his family a little bit better. We plan to try and keep in touch with him as we have all grown close to one another in our short time here.
