"What's that you say?"...."Sentencia!"

Well, just a quick post this morning to say that while we were eating breakfast Hector called to say that that he expected the judge to sign off on all of our paperwork tomorrow...Sentencia!!!!! Oh, how awesome is that! So, what does this mean exactly? Well, if Sentencia occurs tomorrow as Hector expects, it means that we officially become family in Colombia's eyes! What a wonderful surprise that phone call was this morning! We are truly excited!...and can't wait to receive that second phone call tomorrow!

So, what next?...because we are sure you are wondering! LOL! Well, if Sentencia occurs tomorrow, we will try and squeeze in photos for Jonatan's Colombian passport and, perhaps, have enough time to apply for the passport before the end of the day. That is the fast-case scenario. We had previously misunderstood Hector to say that he already had the corrected birth certificate, but that is not the case...sooo we will have to get this done as well. After that, we will be headed to Bogota to finish out our paperwork. We understand that not much paperwork can be accomplished on Fridays in Bogota, so, if all is compeleted here, we may just fly out to Bogota by the weekend to do a little sightseeing there before we need to run around for the remainder of our paperwork. We will just have to see. This would be a best-case scenario, which sounds very likely to happen.

As for returning home, we may very well be home a couple days earlier than we had planned...we will know more once we get through Sentencia and are off to Bogota. It is then that we will have more communication with Lucia, the CHI in-country program director here...on what is next and when we can plan to return home...sooooooooo, stay tuned & we will keep the updates coming! Oh happy day!
