Recently Dave and I were laughing about my 'faithfulness' in checking the yahoo groups site and other Colombian adoption family blogs. Yes, I must confess I have developed a bit of a habit in my life. =) It was all the more amusing, this evening, to see my wonderful husband sitting at the computer going through 'blog reader' and our 'blog favorites' list trying to catch up on everyones news and sharing. (I think he has the bug too! Shhhh, don't tell him I know...we will keep this between all of us self-proclaimed blog addicts! Ha!)
To be quite honest, it is absolutely wonderful to be able to journey along with the CHI Colombian family community and others we have met since beginning our adoption journey. It is wonderful to connect with families near and far, to see how God is working out the details of each family's journey, and watch in the miracle of each expanding family! I have found myself both encouraged and empowered through sharing.
To date we have heard nothing more about our own adoptive progress. Our paperwork is still in Colombia being reviewed. We don't expect to hear anything from Colombia until, at the soonest, late Febrauary. In the meantime, we are doing some things around the house that we have either put off for a while or would like to finish before our own little one is home with us.

Ok, your blog made me smile. You are not alone in your "faithfulness" of checking blogs. It really is a wonderful way to keep up on other families progress as a way to stay connected in the adoption relm in general and not get so caught up in our own "wait". It's also so nice to keep up so you can pray for each family no matter what phase they are in. I love the blogs too!!!
Yes...I am a blogaholic as well! My husband just looks over my shoulder and asks....what are you looking at? I tell him the stories of families by names and he is like "How do you know all this about these families?" Yes, I talk about you all like we've been friends for years...
Our friends and families can sympathize with us but they can't really relate to all of the minutia of adoption. I shared the "approval" with friends/family and they were excited, but you all were able to empathize with me.
