Invitation to Pray
Late last evening Dave received a call from his Dad in which he found out that his Mom had been admitted to the hospital after having collapsed at home. It turns out that she suffered another stroke (her 2nd in the last couple years). Earlier last week she went in for an outpatient procedure to determine the root cause of all her digestive issues. Some of the preparation for this procedure required her to abstain from the blood thinning and pressure medication she is on...while I am not sure if this is the reason she suffered a stroke, I do know that she needs prayer right now...particularly for the physicians that are tending to her and the seeming balancing act they are undertaking in trying to diagnose one issue while managing another...prayer for Dave's Mom's ability to communicate as it remains impaired from her first stroke...for Dave's Dad in walking through this with her...and for Dave...while this is quite an exciting time for us in adoption, it is hard to see his parents go through this...to know how to support and care for them.

Dave & Sheila,
We're praying for Dave's mom, and wisdom for everyone involved. And for you both to be kept in perfect peace as you are concerned for Dave's mom and ecstatic about Jonatan.
Love,
Sherri
So sorry to hear of this challenge presented to your family. While I know your adoption is bringing you great joy, it's hard to imagine the stress that this illness brings to the big picture of life. May God bless you, your family, the doctors and nurses so that questions can be answered and progress can be made. You will be in my prayers.

Sheila,
I've got Dave's Mom in my prayers and am sending you all strength to work through this time as a family.
Hugs and love,
Debi
Know that we are praying for you & Dave. I hope you have answers before you leave. That way you can enjoy your time with your new baby boy.
Just wanted to let you know we're praying for your family. :)
